One of the oldest R.A. Chapters in England, only not actually chartered until 1785, Bro. Newton is au enthusiastic Craftsman, and is thoroughly iu love with his subject, which, in lus hands, has proved both entertaining aud instructive. The Lodge, under whose wing the Chapter works, has also had its noteworthy history recorded (which see) by cur Brother, assisted by the late Bro. G. Parker Brockbauk, who was a “host in himself” for all labour on behalf of his old Lodge. No. 146 History, by Bro. Newton, is in this collection, and also one of No. 221, by Bro. Brockbank.
