Description

"A small selection of enamel and paste jewels from the several thousands in the Museum - arranged in five columns. 1 st Col. Top: P.M .'s jewel m gold and enamel of the St.Paul's Lodge. No. 194, 1847. Centre: The Sussex medal of the Lambton Lodge, No. 375, Durham , struck in commemoration of the visit made to the Province by H .R.H . the Duke of Sussex in 1822. Bottom: Burlington Lodge, No. 96 , 'Pecial Centenary Jewel, 1856 (with bar 1906).

2nd Col. Top: Special jewel of the Royal Inverness Lodge, 1814 (then No. 648) to commemorate the first lodge constituted under the United Grand Lodge. In 1828 it amalgamated with the Royal Somerset Lodge under the present title of ""Royal Somerset House and Inverness Lodge, No. 4"". Centre: P.M.'» jewel in gold, enamel and paste, 1778, Lodge of Prosperity. Bottom: Paste ·and enamel jewel, 1788, Lodge of Prudence (then No. 75) presented to Bro. Leonard Huntington , Secretary .

3rd Col Top: Grand Master's Lodge No.1. Member's Jewel. Centre: (i) Royal A lpha Lodge, No 16. Member's Jewel. (ii) Gilt metal and enamel jewel, inscnbed ""'The gift of the Old Caledonian Lodge to Bro. John Anderson 1771"" Bottom : Lodge Star in the East No. 67, Calcutta, the oldest lodge of the English Constitution outside England.

4th Col. Top: Westminster and Keystone Lodge, No. 10, special Centenary Jewel, 1721-1821. Centre Patriotic Lodge, No. 245 (Antients), silver and enamel P.M 's jewel, presented to Robert Kidder, 1785. Bottom :Silver, pasteand enamel jewel presented to Bro..A. Ten Broeke, Master of the Caledonian Lodge, No. 134, 1768.

5th Col. Top. Royal Alpha Lodge, No.16, gold and enamel P M .'sJewel. Centre:Royal York Lodge of Perseverance, No. 7, Special Centenary Jewel , 1862. Bottom : Neptune Lodge, No .22, Special Centenary Jewel, 1750-1850."
