At the base is a lion, couched to right, with head turned to the front; behind are seen level and square, and a sprig of laurel. Around, L [] .’. ANGLAISE N° 204 OR .’. DE BORDEAUX./ . FONDEE EN 1732 . Below the device, small, STERN PARIS

REVERSE: A triangular-shaped level, heavily irradiated with rays which extend almost to the edge in three places. Around, SAGESSE UNION CHARITE
