Description

OBVERSE: The square and compasses, enclosing a portrait bust to left (of Edward Frossard); at the sides, the figure of the Theorem of Pythagoras and a five-pointed star, the figures of the date, 1881, at the sides and above and below. At the base, two sprigs of laurel and the numbers 3 6 9 Around, DEDICATED TO COLLECTORS OF MASONIC MEDALS

REVERSE: A square divided into 81 squares, which contain the numbers from 1 to 81. Along the sides, ENTERED/ACCORDING TO ACT OF/CONGRESS Below, INVENTED BY ED. F./1860 and around, THE MAGIC POWER OF NUMBERS
