Description
OBVERSE: Portrait bust of Washington to left; below, WASHINGTON all between two palm-branches crossed at the base; at the sides, 1776/1876 Around the upper part, within a border of stars, IOO~ YEAR OF OUR/NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE
REVERSE: Within a wreath of oak, a squared pavement on which stand three pillars; two in front are adorned with globes, one in the background is surmounted by the letter G with seven stars above. At the sides are the sun and moon, three candlesticks, a ladder, a five-pointed star and the figure of the Theorem of Pythagoras. Above all, an irradiated eye.
