Description
OBVERSE: Portrait head to right; around, GEORGE WASHINGTON A broad outer border has at the top an eagle with wings outspread and at the base a group of flags, pikes, guns and other military equipment; at the sides floats a ribbon among stars, bearing the inscription TALEM FERENT NULLUM SECLA FUTURA VIRUM
REVERSE: Three columns standing on a squared pavement, two in front adorned with globes, one at the back surmounted by the letter G above which are seven stars, with the sun and moon at the sides; above all, an irradiated eye. Between the pillars, three candles and a five-pointed star on one side and a ladder and the figure of the Theorem of Pythagoras on the other; a coffin below; at the sides, two palm-branches enclosing the whole.
