"OBVERSE: Portrait bust to left in uniform; around, WILHELM I DEUTSCHER KAISER
REVERSE: A cross of Maltese form, irradiated in the angles, bearing in the centre the date 1881 within a chaplet of laurel. Around, ZUR FEIER DER ANWESENHEIT DES KAISERS IN HAMBURG and at the limbs of the cross, UND/ALTONA/D.13-/14 SEPT."
