Description

OBVERSE: Draped figure of La France with spiked headdress, standing on a globe; her right hand resting on a table of stone, on which is inscribed SCIENCE/PHILOSOPHIE while in her left she holds a level. In the right background, a Mason and a negro, with left hands clasped, the former holding up in his right hand a chain from which he has just freed the latter.

REVERSE: AU F .’. (blank) FONDATEUR, two sprigs of acacia below.
