Description

In the form of a cross patée of red enamel with gilt edges, the spaces between the arms having thistles in green and red.

OBVERSE: In the centre, a medallion with a female figure standing, her right hand holding up an open book, across which is inscribed SCOTIA, her left hand resting on a shield charged with St. Andrew with his cross. Around the medallion, in black enamel, THIRD JUBILEE CELEBRATION

REVERSE: Similar arrangement; the medallion bears two shields, one of the Arms of the Grand Lodge of Scotland, and the other those of Sir Archibald Campbell Campbell, Bart., Grand Master of Scotland. Around, GRAND LODGE OF SCOTLAND and below, i886. Suspended by a ribbon, 41 mm., of dark green, with bar and hanger of gilt filigree.
