Description

"OBVERSE: Portrait busts to right, richly dressed, and wearing collars bearing respectively the square and pentalpha. Around, GEO: A: F: P: WALL: G: M GULI: H: D: CLARENT: G: P. At the sides are the letter G and the triple Tau, both very small and irradiated. Below the truncation, small, HANCOCK

REVERSE: Two oval medallions, that on the left containing an arch, supported by two pillars, from which the Keystone is removed, the sun shining on an altar surmounted by three crowns; a flag and a rod entwined by a serpent leaning against the pillars. That on the right contains three pillars, with square, level and plumb rule, various emblems, surmounted by an irradiated eye, and a coffin in the foreground. Above the whole, the Prince of Wales’ feathers, surmounted by a flying angel sounding a trumpet, and wearing a collar with the square and compasses; below, a very rough representation of the Freemasons’ Arms with crest and supporters; and, in ex: W • HOLLINS • P.
