Classification:- Jug
Description
On left:-
A west view of bridge over the river Wear.
In centre under spout:-
The verse bordered by floral design all in black
"Swiftly see each moment flies,
See and learn be timely wise'
Every moment shortens day,
Every pulse beats life away,
Thus thy every heaving breath,
Waft thee on to certain death,
Seize the moments as they fly,
Know to live and learn to die."
On right:-
Conventional View of K.S. Temple between two pillars flanked by two female figures Justice & Mercy with a mirror and head turned away.
"The World is in pain
Our secrets to gain
But still let them wonder and gaze on
They ne'er can divine
The Word nor the sign
O' a free & an Accepted Mason."
In centre under spout:-
"I envy no one's birth or fame,
Their title, train or dress,
Nor has my pride err stretch'd its aim,
Beyond what I possess,
Properties
