Description

Left side:-

View of Bridge over river Wear.

Under - Dixon & Co. Sunderland


In centre under Spout:-

Letters 'T T' and under figure '4' all in black.

Previous owners (Androdi) claimed that TT was Thomas Tillman, sexton at Littleham church.

Right side:-

Masonic Design

Three candlesticks on squared pavement. Sun; moom; stars and six pointed star in a white semi circle. Above is a series of steps on which stand two pillars supporting an arch with square & compasses surmounted by letter G in triangle between. And above figure of Charity.

Flanking the steps on left is a beehive on on the right a church.

Also a pair of pillars with globes. On the far left a woman with anchor and a ship representing Hope. On the far right a seated woman holding a book in left hand and a cross in the right hand

Wallace Heaton purchased this from J S Thomas Stewart Hayward, Stewart House Swanage who had bought it from H Andradi & Son, 19 Russell St. Plymouth for 30/- on 15/9/1919
