Classification:- Plate/Dish/Bowl

Description

Inside:-

On bottom: a portrait of 'Garibaldi' coloured pink.

On sides: 1. Figures of French & English soldiers "May they ever be united"

2. *"Ensigns of state that feed our pride

Distinction troublesome & vain

By Masons true are laid aside

Arts free-born sons such toys disdain

Ennobled by the name they bear

Distinguished by the badge they wear"

3. Bridge over the Wear Sunderland. A different design apparently from the other side of the bridge


On Outside:-

1. The Gaunlet Clipper Ship

2. (In a border of ferns) "Success to the Farmer and prosper his plough,

Rewarding his ardent toil, all year through, Seed time and harvest he ever shall get, He's trusted all to providence and so may he yet."

3. The Arms of the Ancient & Honourable Fratenity of free and Accepted Masons
