The number for May 31st (page 489) contains a copy of one of the “Old Charges,” forwarded by Mr. Dowland. The date is said to be of the Seventeenth Century, but the original has not been identified. The text accords with the Grand Lodge MS. of A.D. 1583 (seep. 22 “Hughan’s ‘Old Charges,’ “ 1872).
