Description

Obverse.—Portrait of Frederic (the Great) to left and front, in uniform with chapeau, and wearing the collar and jewel of the Master. Legend, “Fredericos II. Borvas. Rex Latoni Conditon Berolini Primos III. Globor Praesvl.5” Below the bust, “G. Loos. Dir. C. Pfeuffer Fec.”

Reverse.—A draped curtain suspended to a rod, which is entwined with a cable tow, having a love-knot in its centre. On the curtain is the device of the Grand Lodge of the Three Globes. Above is soaring the Prussian Eagle crowned, holding in his right talons a sceptre, and in his left an orb The curtain falls upon a Mosaic pavement, and from behind it appear the rays of the sun. Legend, “Saera Latamorom in Regno Bonvss. P. 13 Septemb. 1740 Inavgvrata.” In exergue, “Seeviania a Sodatitate Tnivnm Globor. Celebnata D. 13 Sept. 1840,” in three lines.
