Description
"This image is a 1755 engraving titled ""The Mysteries that here are Shown, are only to a Mason Known"" by William Tringham, which served as a Masonic tracing board.
The scene depicts King Solomon seated on the right, using compasses to draw on a trestle board, while a goddess-like figure representing ""Time and the Virgin"" looks on from the clouds above.
Elements in the engraving symbolize Masonic virtues and history, including a temple scene, a group of Freemasons in the background, and various geometric tools.
The original print was used as the basis for further artistic reproductions on ceramics, membership certificates, and other Masonic items."
