"This image is a stipple engraving from 1814 of James Asperne, a London bookseller and proprietor of the European Magazine.
• Subject: James Asperne (1757–1820).
• Artist: The original portrait was painted by Samuel Drummond (1765–1844).
• Engraver: The print was engraved by Thomas Blood (active 1814–1823).
• Context: Asperne is depicted in his role within the Freemasons, specifically as a past master of the Foundation Lodge."
