Description
"This image depicts a mezzotint portrait of Cadwallader Blayney, 9th Baron Blayney (1720–1775), a British Army officer and Irish peer.
• Freemasonry Connection: He was a prominent Freemason, serving as the Grand Master of the ""Moderns"" Grand Lodge of England from 1764 to 1766.
• Military Career: Blayney was a Lieutenant-General and colonel of the 38th Regiment of Foot.
• Artistic Detail: The portrait, likely created around 1764, captures him in formal attire with a Masonic jewel or badge displayed on his chest."
