Description

"This image depicts King Edward VII (then Prince of Wales) serving as the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England.

• Role: He held the position of Grand Master from 1874 to 1901.

• Regalia: The garment he is wearing is specialised Masonic regalia, featuring specific apron symbols and collar jewels indicative of his high rank.

• Significance: Edward VII was initiated into Freemasonry in Sweden in 1858 and became a prominent figure in the organisation before ascending the throne."
