"The engraving depicts three cherubs as Masons with Square and Compasses consulting a mystic diagram containing Masonic emblems and signs of the zodiac, and contains the following inscriptions:

How shall I find it - By work and experience

We have found it

Lux et Tenebris (light in darkness)

Initium sapientiae timor domini (the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom)

and is Dedicated to the Learned Brethren"
