Description

161 LECHMERE MS.

Written on 3 strips of parchment of different sizes and shapes. The first is 10”x7¾”; the second 17½”x7¾”; the third is roughly triangular, the height being 7 in., and the breadth decreasing from 14½” to 4 in. Upper portions of first and second strips damaged, so that the text is incomplete. Handwriting indifferent, and shows signs of two or three different hands. Date—soon after mid-17th century.
