OBVERSE: Bust to left; around, JACOBO BURNES INDIAM RELIQUENTI MDCCCXLIX Below, small, B. WYON sc.

REVERSE: The Arms of Burnes on a circular shield, around which is the inscription NEC ASPERA TERRENT. Crest, above, an oak tree broken but with foliage issuing from a crown. Below, the motto, OB PATRIAM VULNERA PASSI on a scroll, and the eight-pointed star of an Order. Around, ACADAMIAE MONTIS ROSARUM FRATRES LATOMI BOMBAIENSES
