Fairly thick-walled conical bowl beautifully engraved with both Craft and Chapter emblems and tools: a sun with a face, an alter with two pillars either side and two candles with holders, a perfect ashlar, with a square and compasses on top along with a third candle holder and candle aloft- all being set on a chequered floor. A moon with a face, two keys in saltire, a pick in the ground and covering stone on the same ground, a coffin with a large sprig of acacia lying over it. Two swords in saltire, a level, a trowel and gavel/hammer pick, an open bible with a sword laid across it. An illuminated triangle with an eye in the middle. A tiered alter with a six pointed star with a ‘G’ in the middle with curtains and swags aloft. The bottom half of the glass is slice cut all around leading to the base. The inside of the bowl rim has been chamfered to make it easier to drink from the thick-walled bowl. 8.2 cm in diameter.<br /> <br /> Base/foot: Heavy base in bulbous form, round shouldered leading to substantial vertical fluting . The base is 5cm deep. 4.5cm in diameter.<br /> <br /> Pontil: Ground out leaving a wearing rim.&quot;<br /> === Properties ===<br /> &quot;Glass: Clear soda with a grey hue.<br /> <br /> Weight: 599 grams.<br /> <br /> Condition: Very good. No damage or repairs.
