Description

OBVERSE: On a circular pedestal rest the Tables of the Law and a naked sword; in front are the square and compasses interlaced with two sprigs of olive, which spread to the sides; at the base is a cushion.

REVERSE: A blindfolded figure being led over rocky ground by a hand which issues from a cloud; a building in the form of a Greek temple in the background. Above, ACCROISSEMENT DE L’ORDRE
