REVERSE: In 8 lines, FOUNDED/BY THE/MASONIC BRETHREN/OF BOMBAY/ TO/REWARD MERIT/AT THE/BYCULLA SCHOOLS
This medal, as well as the two following, were instituted on the occasion of the departure of Dr. Burnes (see No. 22) from India, as a permanent memorial of his many services to Masonry in India.
