Description
OBVERSE: Within an inner circle, on a background of blue enamel, a dolphin. Around the circle, A L. CENTENARY 5869 The whole is surrounded by a twisted cable and surmounted by the square and compasses, looped through which is a ribbon inscribed POOLE/1865
REVERSE: Plain.
Ribbon, 31 mm., light blue; hanger and bar inscribed respectively LODGE OF AMITY and N° 137
The Lodge was warranted in 1765; it was erased in 1838, but reinstated in the same year. In later specimens of the medal, the dolphin is replaced by a cornucopia.
